Our company has been trading since July 1973. Located in what is known as the geographical centre of Canberra, the business was originally started by Mr. Graham Cameron. In June 1997, Graham's long time employee, David Wilson and his son Chris, whom was a Sales Manager with the Independent Property Group, decided to purchase the business when Graham retired and moved to Queensland.

Our office is conveniently located at the Hughes Shopping Centre in Hughes Place, Hughes. Since David and Chris took over the business they have significantly upgraded the office into a modern and vibrant workplace. Some of the many benefits of Cameron Real Estate are that it offers to its customers a superior level of friendly, family oriented service. Being a family owned and run business you can expect and will receive a high level of service that you don't get from the larger companies. When you list your home either for sale or rental you are dealing with the owners of the business. Therefore they care about you property as if it was their own, not just a number.

Due to its central location, Cameron Real Estate lists and sells properties in all suburbs of Canberra. Both Chris and David find that a great deal of their business comes from referral by past clients who have been very happy with the friendly professional service that they offer.

In October 2000, the Cameron Real Estate sales team was expanded with the inclusion of Peter Jenkins due to the increasing demand on its services. Prior to joining us, Peter had a successful career as a Detective Senior Constable in the New South Wales Police Service, a career spanning over ten years. His widely varying experiences during that time have proven a great advantage in real estate! At the 2001 Canberra Times Real Estate Institute awards, Peter won the prestigious 'Achievement Award' for the most outstanding sales person with less than 2 years in the industry. Peter's award is something we are all very proud of.

In October 2000, Cameron Real Estate was recognised at the annual The Canberra Times, Real Estate Institute of the ACT industry awards. We received the award for 'Real Estate Agency of the Year - 2000 (Boutique)' which is for offices with 8 staff or less. At the 2001 awards night we were finalists in the same category. These are a fitting reward for all the effort that has been put into getting our office to a level that we can justifiably be proud of. Most importantly, it shows that you do not have to be a large agency to be successful. We offer something that many other agencies don't - that is a friendly family atmosphere where we genuinely care about our customers and their needs.
